These guitar lessons are geared toward singer songwriters, but can benefit any beginners.

Learn the basics of guitar to accompany your singing. Unlock the ability to strum or pick while singing. You’ll learn basic chords and how to build others. Learn to position chords around the neck to create different feels. Gain variation in your right hand techniques to improve dynamics. Learn some basic scales and how to use them to improvise solos. Get the framework needed to expand upon your skills. Learn exercises needed to improve your skills on both right and left hand techniques.

If you’re an aspiring singer songwriter or want to play some open mics, these lessons are for you.


Guitar Lessons in Salt Lake City

If you live in Salt Lake City or the surrounding area, we can get together for lessons in person. I have space we can use or I can come to you if you have a space. You will need to provide your own guitar. The exercises can get annoyingly redundant at times, so you’ll likely feel more comfortable away from other people so we don’t disturb them.


Online Guitar Lessons

I also offer online guitar lessons. These lessons are done via video conferencing like Google, Zoom, or Skype. You’ll need a guitar, a computer or device capable of handling the video and audio simultaneously, and an internet connection with minimal lag. When we have lag, it’s difficult to get in synch which can make the lessons slightly more challenging. Other than the interface, you’ll get the same lessons online as you would in person.
