These lessons are designed to teach you how to use your body as an instrument so you can create the sounds you want. We will work on songs, but we will also do a lot of voice-building exercises to develop the internal muscle memory you need to execute on demand. I recommend bringing a bottle of water.

While we will touch on other aspects of music, these lessons are focused on how to sing, not on what to sing. This is not a theory or ear training class.

Over time, if you stick with the lessons, you’ll develop the ability to sing with power and control that will bring the house down. It’s time to unleash your voice!


Voice Lessons in Salt Lake City

If you live in Salt Lake City or the surrounding area, we can get together for lessons in person. I have space we can use or I can come to you if you have a space. We don’t need any equipment other than my guitar. Singing into a microphone is helpful, but not required for the lessons. The exercises can get loud even without a microphone. You’ll likely feel more comfortable away from other people so we don’t disturb them.


Online Voice Lessons

I also offer online voice lessons. These lessons are done via video conferencing like Google, Zoom, or Skype. You’ll need a computer or device capable of handling the video and audio simultaneously and an internet connection with minimal lag. When we have lag, it’s difficult to get in synch which can make the lessons slightly more challenging. Other than the interface, you’ll get the same lessons online as you would in person.
